WHAT TO BRING

You’ve booked your appointment at Something Blue! Cue the excitement. You’re officially counting down the days until you start trying on the dresses. To make sure your appointment is fun, productive, and zero stress, here’s what to bring (and what really matters).

Inspiration

Bringing inspiration helps us get inside your vision faster—but don’t overthink it. Pinterest boards, saved Instagram posts, screenshots, or even venue photos all work great. You can share these during your pre-appointment interview, email or text them to us ahead of time, or pull them up when you arrive. Not sure what you want yet? Totally fine. Venue details, décor ideas, or overall vibes give us plenty to work with.

Proper undergarments

You don’t need the “perfect” bra yet—that comes later—but feeling confident matters. We recommend a supportive nude strapless or convertible bra, seamless nude underwear (boyshorts, thong, or high-cut), and any shapewear you already know you love. Comfort = confidence, and confidence makes dress shopping way more fun.

Hair ties & clips

You’ll want to see the dress and yourself clearly. Bringing a hair tie or clip lets you sweep your hair back or try it up, helping you better picture your wedding-day look—especially if you’re considering an updo.

Appropriate shoes

Already have your wedding shoes? Bring them! If not, bring something similar to what you plan to wear—heels or flats—so you can see how the dress really hits and moves.

What to bring

Your squad
Bring a few trusted people who know you and will hype you up and be honest. Less is more—too many opinions can muddy the moment. You may bring up to 4 guests to your appointment.

A realistic budget
Have a general idea of what you’d like to spend on your gown. Be sure to leave room for alterations, a veil, accessories, and any finishing touches. We’ll help guide you, but clarity up front makes the experience smoother for everyone.

You show up, and we’ll handle the rest. 💙
