The Moons: A Wedding Written in the Stars 🌕💙

You know those weddings that just feel good? This was one of them!

Last Thursday, we had the honor of designing and coordinating a wedding that wasn’t about trends or timelines. It was about intention. The bride and groom wanted a private, personal celebration right at home.

And honestly? It was simply perfect!

A Family-Focused Celebration

She’s been married before. He hasn’t. They both have built full, beautiful lives, and this wedding wasn’t about starting over. It was about blending what already was. Together they decided to keep their last names, but be known as “The Moons.” So naturally, their day revolved around all things celestial, glowing, and grounded.

It wasn’t about making an entrance. It was about creating a memory.

Backyard, But Make It Magic

Their home transformed into something out of a storybook. String lights stretching over long farmhouse tables, mismatched chairs that felt perfectly personal, and flickering candles that danced with the breeze.

Each place setting was intentionally curated. There was vintage glassware, soft textures, and florals from Walnut Street Florist that looked like they were plucked straight from an autumn dream! The goal wasn’t to impress… it was to feel.

And oh, it felt good !!

Ceremony Under the Tree

They said “I do” beneath a beautiful tree on their property, with a custom made moon sculpture created by one of our décor ladies, Suzy behind them! It was simply stunning! They were surrounded by the people who’ve loved them through every chapter. It was intimate, quiet, and sacred in the best way.

We watched as they carried their own chairs to their spot. A simple, symbolic act that said we’re building this life together, side by side.

The Moonlight Moment

The reception took place at night under beautiful string lights. They had delicious food catered by Catering by Cyd, Once Upon a Pie, and Biker Chick. They also had coffee from Renn's Cafe brought to their house for their guests to enjoy. As the night went on, the bride and groom made it a point during the reception to stop and watch the moon rise. It was one of those moments that reminds you what it’s all for. Love, family, and a little bit of magic.

And that stunning bride?! She wore her gown from Something Blue, and we might be biased, but she was glowing brighter than the moon itself!!

The Something Blue Touch

Something Blue handled the design, setup, and day-of coordination for this beautiful wedding. We made sure everything flowed effortlessly while still leaving room for real moments to unfold. Because that’s what we do best: design the kind of wedding that feels like you, not a Pinterest board.

This wasn’t your average wedding. It was honest, heartfelt, and beautifully perfect! 🌕💙
