Meet Suzy! One of the fabulous ladies on our décor team!!

When it comes to bringing a wedding day vision to life, it takes more than beautiful décor, it takes someone who truly gets it. Enter Suzy: one of the incredible women behind our décor team at Something Blue.

With an eye for detail, a calm under pressure, and a knack for making every setup look effortless, Suzy is one of the reasons our events go from “pretty” to completely unforgettable. Whether she’s perfectly placing centerpieces, or making sure every last napkin fold is on point, Suzy’s touch is everywhere, and trust us, you can tell.

Today, we’re pulling back the curtain, so you can meet the magic-maker herself.

What is your role at Something Blue?

I pull, clean, and pack décor rentals. I set up, and tear down events. I load and unload the van. I do inventory. I also design tables, and change out the store floor displays. I am Miss Fix It!

How long have you worked at Something Blue?

I have worked here a little over a year.

What's your favorite part about working at Something Blue?

I love having a creative outlet, plus seeing beautiful events come to life. I also love getting to work with awesome people.

What's your go-to décor style if you were picking one for yourself?

My favorite is not one style necessarily, but I love when we get to think outside the box.

What is the first song you'd play if you were the DJ at a wedding?

Anytime "Thunderstruck" by ACDC comes on, I crank it up! However, The Painter by Cody Johnson is my first dance song.

What are some of your favorite things to do in your free time?

I like to restore old/broken stuff, and build/clean new things. I like to sit around a campfire with music, a cold beverage, and good company. I love to spend time with my boyfriend Trent, and the dogs. I also love to do mom stuff with my kids!

What's a show you are binge watching right now?

I don't have enough hours in my day to binge watch shows, but when the TV is on, probably NCIS (all of them), some cooking/baking show, or anything Taylor Sheridan!
