A Weekend in the Life of Katie! From Family Fun to Wedding Fun!

Whew! This weekend was one for the books. It was equal parts chaos, and cute. We packed up the fam (Andy, Lennon, the dogs, and me) for a little camping adventure, and wedding setup combo. Because obviously I don't know how to do anything halfway!

We kicked things off with pizza in the park, which let’s be honest, is the only proper way to start summer fun! Lennon was cheesin’ hard, making faces, and acting like she runs the place (because she kinda does). After dinner, she hit the playground like a boss while we soaked up the shade and tried to keep the dogs from stealing someone else’s snacks! We ended the day with ice cream, because how else do you end a perfect summer day?! Lennon was wiped out from having so much fun!!

Saturday was wedding mode, which in our world means putting our real pants on and turning into full-blown décor fairies! I left the camper crew behind and headed to Up 4 Celebrations in Garner, Iowa to meet Suzy to do what we do best: turn a blank space into something beautiful!!

We had black linens, candlelight, flowy eucalyptus, and one of the prettiest welcome mirrors we've ever styled!

That head table? Ugh. I could’ve married it.

After the I-do magic, it was back to Mom Mode! We wrapped up the weekend by spending some more quality time together as a family!

Moral of the story? It doesn’t matter if I’m wrangling florals, or wiping melted ice cream off a car seat, this life we’ve built is messy, magical, and exactly what I hoped for!!
